IISc-DST/SAIF NMR Spectrometers (IISc users)

Samples for NMR analyses can be submitted at the Facility.

Rates for 1D analysis on SAIF 400 MHz, 500 MHz and 600 MHz solution state NMR specs

S. No Nuclei Rate* (INR)
1 1H, 19F, 13C (4 scans)   106
2 1H, 19F, 13C (8 scans)   112
3 1H, 19F, 13C (16 scans)   125
4 1H, 19F, 13C (32 scans)   150
5 1H, 19F, 13C (64 scans)   200
6 1H, 19F, 13C (128 scans)   300
7 1H, 19F, 13C (256 scans)   500
8 1H, 19F, 13C (512 scans)   900
9 1H, 19F, 13C (1024 scans) 1700
Notes: * (i) Rates are applicable per sample; (ii) it is the responsibility of the user to request the number of scans; (iii) samples will be charged even in cases where the requested number of scans is insufficient for a satisfactory S/N ratio; (iv) if the requested number of scans are insufficient for a satisfactory S/N ratio, respective charges for a new experiment with revised number of scans (as specified by the user) will be applicable; (v) samples requiring more scans (>128 for ¹H, ¹9F; and >1024 for ¹³C) will be charged proportionately; (vi) cost of deuterated solvents (if applicable) will be additional.

Additional cost for deuterated solvents applies as mentioned below. Chloroform-d and D2O Rs. 100 per sample DMSO-d6 Rs. 300 per sample

As per SAIF-DST mandate, preference will be given to external users in the queue and slots will be allotted accordingly.

There will be additional charges for advanced experiments and additional scans, as per requirements.
